A brisk demand has arisen for the Taranaki Oilwells refinery products, and eonsi.i4nlne.nts have been sent to Auckland and Christ-church and local merchants have been supplied with I uel. Oi] is also being sent away as Cast as produced, and ke;*>sene, lubricating oil and wax are expected to he placed on the market next week. Good progress is being made with drilling by th > various companies. Taranaki Oilwells shares are in'deI fr.nnd, 300 being transferred this week I at eighteen shillings.
