FATAL STRIKE RIOTS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 1.30 p.m.) New York, August 23. Strike riots broke out at Stenbenville, Ohio, resulting in bloodshed. During a fierce conflict with the police, two strikers were fatally shot, and others ■ injured. Two thousand strikers attempted to destroy a tin mill.
DUBLIN TRAMWAYMEN STRIKE. (Reossred 10.5 a.m.) Loudon, August 28. Much inconvenience was caused at Dublin during show week through a strike of tramwaymen. Four of the leaders have been arrested for conspiracy and incitement. Many employers are starting a movement to dismiss all trade unionists.
TRAMWAY WORKERS. [Per Press Association.] Dunedin, August 28
A ballot has been completed of members of the local Tramway Workers' Union on four issues submitted to them. The voting was as follows: Are you in favor of joining the United Federation of Labor and Social Democratic Party?—Yes 22, no 32.
Are you in favor of joining the United Eederution only?—Yes 3, no 140. v
Are you in favor of joining the Social Democratic Party only?—Yes 8, no 139
Are you in favor of continuing in the United Labor Party as at present? —Yes 36, no 109.
Out-of a total of 200 members 160 voted. It is understood that the objective of the tramwaymen is to consolidate their internal organisation, irrespective of organised Labor movements.
