CURIOUS DIVORCE CASE. • Melbourne, August 18. Margaret Tanderfeen (28), who was to-day granted a divorce from John Vanderfeen (28), on the grounds of desertion, told Mr Justice Hodges that when the wedding was solemn ieed at Charlton on February 13, 1909, she was conducted to the door of the presbytery in which the ceremony took place, and there left by her husband. He said to her, “We must part here.” The parties had never lived together as man and wife after marriage. A child was born three or four months after the marriage.
