RIOTS IN LONDONDERRY.
CONDUCT OF THE POLICE,

The Viceroy of Ireland has refused to grant, without Parliamentary authority, a-sworn enquiry into the conduct of the police in Londonderry.
The’ membership of the Ulster volunteers’ force is steadily increasing throughout the province. The General Staff, or Advisory Board, is constantly in touch with the various units.
the rifle clubs of Ulster have applied for a renewal ot alaliation with the Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs. Lord Aberdeen expressed the Irish Government’s regret that it was tillable, under existing circumstances, to approvo of this. .
