LEG AL OBSTRUCTION. (By Electric Telegraph-—Copyright'' [United Press Association.] i Ottawa, August 27. With the object of delaying the proceedings, Thaw’s legal representatives, including leading New York and Montreal barristers, withdrew the habeas corpus application. The next move is now awaited. Thaw meanwhile will remain in gaol. A SCENE IN COURT. (Received noon.) Montreal, August 27. Judge Globensky ruled out the New York State Attorney’s report when Thaw’s motion to drop the habeas corpus proceedings was mentioned. There were hundreds of spectators in the Court, chiefly Americans , who cheered British justice and the British flag. Thaw bowed theatrically at times. The United States Attorney refused to make a statement, but declared that such an outburst might have been suppressed in any court. The habeas corpus motion was adjourned.
