'i he peasants of the village of Walli/o met to'discuss the cause of heavy rain spoiling the harvest, and decided that it was attributable to the intemperance of an innkeeper. A deputation interview the 1 innkeeper and he refused to mend his ways. As the raiu had not ceased, the peasants held a court in a field and condemned the innkeeper to be beaten to death.
