GUARDING GIRLS BATHING. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables. Chicago, August 16. The City Civil Service Commission will soon sold examinations for ten policewomen to guard girls' bathing beaches and playgrounds. The Commission has decided that .unmarried women of generous proportions are the most desirable. Physical examinations of candidates, will be carried out by a woman trainer from the University of Chicago. Widows are not barred from competing, but they must be young and vigorous.
