Tho Rev. R. Boler died in a private hospital in Auckland after an operation, states a Press Association wire.
Mr Charles Gollop, of the Public Works Department, Greymouth, has been transferred to Stratford, in place of Mr Drury, lately storekeeper at Stratford, w"ho was recently transferred to the Otira tunnel works.
Mr W. Hathaway (chairman) and Mr C. H. Penn (clerk), who represented the Stratford County Council at the recent Counties' Conference, returned to Stratford on Saturday evening. The chairmen of the Taranaki, Eltham, and Egmont County Councils returned from the Conference by the same train.
