JEALOUSY THE MOTIVE. [By 'Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times—Sydney Sun Special Cables. San Francisco, August 16. Taini Koda, the wife of a Japanese restaurant-keeper of Portland, Oregon, her baby, and Koyo Kawowa, a cook, were found dead witli their throats cut yesterday morning. Jpe Mathura, a porter, is now in gaol ponding an inquiry. The three were murdered in an alley at the back of the restaurant. The police believe that jealousy was the motive. Koda, tho woman's husband, was absent from tho city, and is not thought to have had anything to do with, the tragedy.
