THE KAIMATA TRAGEDY.

There is nothing fresh to report in connection with, the tragedy. All trace of the missing man Virgin was lost, the search parties and diving arrangements in the river being unsuccessful. Jn this connection the Opunake Times writes:—"The use of a black tracker would have been of especial benefit in the Kaimata tragedy. A black tracker would have been a*ble to tell the police if any footmarks led to the river, and if so. a description would have been forthcoming; in fact the trackers world have tracked the person alleged to be the cause of the tragedy either to his or his doom."
