BACHELORS' BALL.

: , AT WHANGABIOMpXA. ' (Contributed.) The bachelors of Whangamomona'. held their annual hall in the Town, Hall, Whangamomona, on Thursday night. ' It proved one of the most successful (lances ever held here. There were upwards of eighty couples present, and all seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The Hall, was tastefully decorated with evergreens am] native bush, and was set ofF with Chinese lanterns. Much credit is due ro the committee who worked very jfirtrd to ensure the success of the evening. Mr Nightingale- did the caterfflg ih a most efficient manner. Mr lEirldel! and Mr Marsh were M.C.'s, and judging from appearances must have had a most strenuous time. Some very pretty dresses were'worn, and amongst those most noticeable were Miss Thomson (pink silk with lace trimmings); Miss L. Davis (pink satin with ninon overdress), Miss R. Cameron (cream satin with Maltese face trimmings). Miss Olansen (blue silk), Miss Harry (cream silk with lace overdress), Mi sa Hodder (ruby velvet). Miss Dean (cream voile). Miss Render (cream silk with lace trimmings), Miss T. Cameron (blue crep«-de-chine). Miss Hi'l (white muslin), Miss McGuire (light green). Mis L. Davis /rn'nk silk), Miss McCutchnn (black velvet), Miss Dean ('white silk). Mrs Klee (blue satin with chiffon trimmings), Mrs Coxhead (slate silk). Mrs Bishara (navy blue velvety Mrs Ross (cream voile). Mrs Dunn (cream silk 'with lace trimmings), Mrs Scott, white silk), Mrs Cameron (white serge), Mrs Adolph (black voile), Mrs Montgomery (cream satin), Mrs Bacon (pale pink silk with lace insertion).
