AUSTRALIAN POLITICS.
NEW SOUTH WALES. [By Electric Telegraph—CopyrightJ [United Press Association.] Sydney, August 21. In’the Assembly, Mr Wade gave notice of motion that the agreement with Messrs. Norton and Griffiths had been highly unsatisfactory and fraught with great danger to this State. Mr Holman immediately moved the adjournment of the House till luesday, in order to consider the position created. This is a fresh censure motion. It is considered that Mr Wade’s motion shows Mr Griffiths has already announced that the Nor-ton-Grifiiths agreement, when submitted, will not be a party question. The Government may, with their slight majority, defeat the veto of censure, but subsequently they must vote in favor, of the agreement in order to bo consistent.

In the House, Mr Fraser attacked the Attorney-General (Mr Irvine) on the ground of his professional connection as a barrister with the Marconi Company. He declared that Mr Irvine had no right to continue to hold a, retainer from the Company, which is still challenging the Commonwealth Government. Such a position was absolutely untenable if he continued to hold the Attorney-Gen-eralship. Mr Irvine refused to he drawn. He challenged Mr Fraser to formulate a motion. Mr Fraser announced that he accepted the challenge.
