MAWSON’S EXPEDITION.
THE AURORA’S PLANS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.) Fremantle, August . 19. The Orontes has arrived from London. Captain John King Davis is a passenger. Interviewed, he said that provided the Victorian Government keeps its promise to dock the Aurora, Captain Davis will bring the vessel to Melbourne provided funds are forthcoming. He will sail for Adelaide in November and reach Mawson in December. Ho has collected £3OOO in England, out of £IO,OOO required. This amount will be needed firstly for fitting the Aurora, but mainly for publishing her investigations.
