THE AKAROA TRAGEDY.
VERDICT. OF NOT GUILTY. [Per Press Association.] Christchurch, August 19. John Hitchcock, charged with the attempted murder of his sister at Akaroa, on April 20th, was found not guilty on the ground of insanity, and was ordered to he detained during the pleasure of the Minister for Justice.
