EYESIGHT RESTORED.

Aftor being blind for over a year Miss Kathleen Welsh (25), of Will mot street, Hulme, Manchester, regained her sight under remarkable circumstances at a funeral. Last year Miss Welsh lost her sight, and since tlien she has been under' the care ol a specialist, and for three months was in an institution for the treatment of the blind. In describing’her wonderful experience, Miss Welsh said she had become very greatly attached to her grandmother, with whom she had. been brought up since childhood, and when the old, lady became ill, Miss Welsh prayed earnestly that sjie might be given, another chance of seeing her. ■‘l was naturally very much upset at the graveside, and all at once 1 thought I saw the brass plate on the coffin. After that I had to be led to the funeral coach, and it was whilst returning home that I definitely realised that my sight had returned. We were all very much overjoyed, and even now,” added Miss Welsh, “it all seems like a dream. lam to-night the happiest girl in the world,” she added. Miss Welsh can see to find her way, cm distinguish persons a few yards off, and was able to see a note-book some yards away even in a gloomy room. Amongst the medical profession the case is looked upon as being extraordinary,.
