TYPHOON IN CHINA.
MANY LIVES LOST. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 1.40 p.m.) Hong Kong, August 18. A typhoon played havoc at Macao. A wall on newly reclaimed land near Barrafort col 1 apsed. Several houses at Turaferio were destroyed and many inmates killed. A fleet of junks in the Macao 'roadstead were wrecked and a hundred and fifty people drowned.
