Germany favors participation in the Panama Exhibition at a probable cost of a quarter of a million. France is favorable, hut will not participate unless the copyright is granted for designs, models, and trade marks imported for the exhibition which already has copyrights in the country of origin.
M AXUFACTURER’S ATT I TUT)E. (Received 9.35 a.m.) London,’August 15. Many influential letters in the papers advocate British participation in the Panama Exposition. The Manchester machinery manufacturers, with a few exceptions, oppose on the ground of expense and the small prospect of business.
