LONDON’S GREAT TRAFFIC.

A select cc-ir.av.ttyo on the London traffic problem, which has reported in favor of simplification of control, states that the journeys undertaken by passengers in Greater London total two thousand, million yearly. The report recommends that the solo control be vested in a special traffic branch of the Board of Trade, councils having the power, to describe the routes, time-tables, and number ol public vehicles on / the streets,: subject to confirmation by the: Traffic Board. It also recommends special speed limits for motor traffic where the conditions are specially dangerous, more refuges i n streets,, Unci closer control by the police.
Omnibus companies strongly oppose the 'recommendations.
