Second Edition BAND OF HOPE.

On Tuesday night another successful Band of Hope meeting was held in the Methodist School, Began Street,

when a very interesting programme iras gone through. Considering the weather /there was a very good attendance of people. Recitations were given by Miss Birdie Foster, Master Wedge Boon, Harold Goodrick and Alex. Cameron. These were all vvvy good, and deserved the applause they received. Solos were rendered by Miss McAllister, Miss E. Moon and Mr C. Russ. The chairman (Mr J. Martin) made a few enaertaining remarks. The short address by Mr Nelson was interesting indeed. Two dialogues entitled "Dr. Bills Remedy" and "John Shatchers Last Pawn" were again staged by request, both being put through in excellent, »tyle.
