Mrs Pankhurst, accompanied by a nurse, had an ovation at a suffragist meeting at Kingsway Hill. She attributes her immunity from re-arrest to the presence of the Medical Congress,: Whose members ifright' think that the Government, in dealing with the suffragettes, was overstepping ithe lidos of humanity.
Miss Kerry also spoke. The police did not interfere.
