The Mount Balfour copper mines in Tasmania have been sold to a group of Parisian financiers. -A French company is? forming with a capital of ii, 100,000. Connected with the scheme is a novel immigration project, the Tasmania!) Government granting forty acres each to approved immigrants. The company is assisting the immigrants for the first three years while thp immigrants will assist in building tbo company's -railway, cutting timber, and in handling certain agricultural undertakings. >■■ ■
