AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES. To be or not to lie, that is the question, as Shakespeare says. Now, to miss the beautiful sot of pictures screened last evening for the first time .vould bo out of th(> question. The star ilm, “A Woman’s Honor,” is a remarkable production, and from the point of view of acting, staging, and Iressing, nothing more beautiful could be desired. The scene where the ae-
ress shoots her persecutor through he act drop, and where her husband
s charged with the crime, is a most dualling moment. “Maine Louise” s another very pathoLe film, taken ’.midst some of nature’s host nigged oenery. “A Senator’s Dishonor,” a ihoto-play by the great American Kanin Co., is worthy of great praise; he plot is distinctly away from any ihoto-play yet seen here. “Orange Irowing in California” is an educaional film of value, showing the oruigo from the hud on the tree and he various processes of cleansing and nicking right up to the delivery of the uscious fruit. The comic and scenic lortions of the programme are all that •nnld ha desired. The same hill will be presented again to-night, and on .Vednesday evening for the last time.
