THE MURDER OF KNIGHT.
HOARD OF MONEY GONE. [ By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Melbourne, August 11. A gun was found in the scrub near Knight’s house. He possessed considerable money but did not believe in banks, and kept it in the houses ‘Recently his ‘hut was robbed, and he then declared that he intended to carry his money in his pockets. No money was found on the body or in the hut. A Melbourne cablegram yesterday stated that the body of an old man named Richard Knight was found near the. hut where he lived alone. His head was almost blown off by a gunshot wound. It is suspected to be a case of murder, with robbery as the; motive.
