The Board of Trade’s first report on unemployed insuranceTn four scheduled trades shows that about 2| million unemployed were insured during tho year, of whom previously only one-fifth were insured against unemployment by the employers. The. report states that the contributions aggregated £2,400,000, and the expenditure £700,000. The scheme was accepted generally without much trouble.
