'- JPbr Press AasoouTiON.j; ;/, . Wellington, August 6. • A special committee set up to investigate appointments to the Westport Harbor Board and made by the Minister of Marino sat this morning. Mr Lee was elected chairman. The order of reference which was drawn up covers whether Mr Fisher knew Mr Simpson's character when he appointed him, and .whether Mr Atmore said he stood by all he had aaid. It was decided to call the Chairman of the Motueka Licensing Bench and Mr Simpson, and produce the Court records.
The Committee adjourned till Friday.
