WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev i). C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but moderate to strong southerlies prevailing and backing by south to west and freshening. The weather will probably prove cold and showery with a cold night and frosts inland. Barometer unsteady, but falling after 2-1 hours.
