A deputation to the Premier (Mr Asquith) in favour of the Chaauel tunnel pointed out the development of aerial navigation. The French Government was favourable, and the tunnel would cement the entente. The cost of a double tunnel would l->e eighteen millions sterling and would readily be subscribed.

Mr Asquith said the Committee of Imperial Defence was re-considering the tunnel question.
