"PIRATES OF PENZANCE."
■ —«,— STRATFORD OPERATIC SOCIETY'S PRODUCTION. The Stratford Operatic iSoeiety held a most successful rehearsal of "Pirates of Penzance" last evening, when a full attendance of members answered the roll call. The cast of characters is a very strong combination of musical and dramatic ability and supported by a"powerful chorus, should render a good account of themselves. A special ballet will be introduced under the direction of Mrs Mcßeth, who is sparing no pains to make it an unqualified success. The services of Captain Stevens, of Hawera, as stage manager, have been obtained, and under his guidance the public may look forward to a rare musical and dramatic treat. The caste of characters is as follows:
