(Received 9.45 a.m.) Sydney, August 2. Considerably less than half the amount required for the relief voyage to Dr. Mawson’s Aurora has been obtained.

Captain John King Davis is at present returning from England, where he has been appealing for funds.

Professor David believes that Dr. Mawson has only one material asset on which to rely to meet expenses, namely, moving pictures of life in the Antarctic.
