AN ENGINE-DRIVER’S DEATH
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 2,
At the inquest on the death of Peter Jackson, engine-driver, who was fatally injured at Paekakareiki through a jack slipping while an engine was being repaired, one. witness said the appliances for work at Paekakariki were not, so safe as those in the centres. A verdict of accidental death was returned, no blame being attachable to anyone.
