ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A CHILD’S DIATH
[Per Press Association.]
Hastings, July 80
An inquest was held this morning concerning the death of Jeanette Katrina BuJlen, 12 years old, who died on Monday in a fit of convulsions. The child was vaccinated with the pupils of the State School on July 18, and it was rumored yesterday that her death resulted from blood poisoning from the after-effects of vaccination. Medical evidence at the inquest showed the convulsions were brought on by congestion and inflammation of the bowels, and that death was not in any way due to vaccination. Dr. Story, who made the post mortem examination, said that the child was suffering from tubercular disease.
