PEACE PRELIMINARIES.
BRITAIN WON’T HELP TURKEY

Bucharest, July 29
An informal meeting of the Peace Conference was held to-day. M. Basics has arrived. Pie states that the Turkish offensive action in Thrace will not be discussed, but after peace the Christian States might consider assisting Bulgaria to secure her right under the Treaty of London.
Sofia, July 29
M. Ghenadieff, the Premier, interviewed, said that an entente between Bulgaria and Roumania is almost complete.
Vienna, July 29
Austria and Russia are anxious for Bulgaria to retain Kavola.
France and Germany are supporting the Greek claim to Kavola. Constantinople, July 29.
The British Charge d’Affairs informed the Porte that Britain is withdrawing her promised assistance for organising Turkey’s possessions is Asia, owing to her attitude over Adrianople. 1
The Sultan, replying to the King of Roumania, urges that the frontier along the River Maritza is preferable to the Enos-Midia line.
