The Government. Meteorologist (Ke* D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows :
The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but northerly to strong prevailing. The weather is less favorable, and will be dull and overcast. Misty rain is to be expected. The barometer has a falling tendency.
