A .CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Apopos of Canon Garland's challenge, the Star has authority for saying that Mr Caughley, headmaster of West Christchurch School, on behalf of'the teaching.profession, is prepared to accept in substance that challenge. At a public meeting, which,was held in Dunedin between the second and fourth September Mr . Caughley will present unimpeachable evidence of the working of the Australian system, this giving Dean Fitchett oj- Canon iGarlanid the right to go on their respective platforms and refute such testiimony.
