_ -o— ■ — [Per pßjaas Association.] Auckland, July 25. A solicitor, Percy Spencer, was charged at the Police Court to-daj with acting as a sharebroker, without i>eing licensed. Spencer was stated to have sold a parcel of shares for a client who received £77 10s instead )f the full price £BO, Spencer retaining the balance. For the defence it was irgued that Spencer acted as a solicitor, and was entitled to remuneration .vhether the shares had been sold or not. After argument the Magistrate -aid that Spencer had acted as a sharebroker, and would have to b( convicted. A fine of £5 was imposed. _
