The Winning Post has applied to Mr Juatice Darling to reconsider the question of costs in the Sievier case. Mr Ifershall Hall stated that the jurymen nad written to the solicitors dissenting from Mr Justice Darling's action.,, which ho had prefaced by a Statement that he believed he understood why the jury had not given heavier damages. When Mr Justice Purling was informed of the letter he gave- the defence the addresses of other jurymen who had also replied. Mr. Justice. .Darling now declined to open letters, and has refused the application, but stated that the defendants were at liberty to appeal.
