RIFLE SHOOTING.

On Thursday last a rifle match was fired at the Stratford range between teams representing H Company, Stratford, and E Company, Eltham. The visitors were the winners by 121 ooints. In justice to the local men, it may be added that they were firing on service conditions with open sights, whilst a number of their opponents were equipped with the B.S.A. aperture sights. Under these conditions, and considering that this is their first rifle match, the local men acquitted themselves very well. A return match, will he fired at the Eltham range at a later date.
