HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES
The verdict of the largo audience who wutnessed the change of pictures last night at Bernard’s Theatre was that it was the best set of films yet seen there. The star drama “Tigiis,” a detective story of unusual length, is an amazing succession of breathless thrills, acted and staged with vim. It is impossible to give here even the faintest notion of its power and splendour, but one must see it to realise the merit of.the reel. “The Cheltenham Derby” is no doubt a great racing picture, very clear photography, and shows rare horsemanship.! The comics are fair merry-makers, headed by an A.B. screamer, “A Queer Elopement” and “Heard Over the ’Phone.*’ “Opitsah” is a quaint western Indian stoi L y with a very fine plot. This programme will be presented again to-night and Saturday evening. No matinee till August 2nd, when the phenomenal picture Panama Canal will bo screened for country folks.
