THE RAND STRIKE
London, July 23
There have been numerous insurances on the London market over Rand riot risks, and considerable business has been placed at high rates. Private bouses and offices at Johannesburg have accepted six months’ insurance at twenty shillings per cent., commercial buildings 30s, and shops 40s.
