MUCH IMMODESTY ABROAD

The Council of Rochester, Pennsylvania, passed an ordinance prohibiting women wearing slashed skirts, transparent hose, or tight-fitting dresses. The members of the Council declared that it made them blush to see s;. much immodesty abroad in the streets.
