OUR PRODUCE MARKETS.

BRITISH AND AMERICAN MOVES

[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.15 a.m.)

Mr Riseley, a merchant, visits Australia in October to promote development trade with Bristol.

The Washington correspondent of the Times says:—“There are indications that an effort is being made in the United States to divert Australian meat from Britain in order to counteract the rising cost of living in America.
