WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Key D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications are for:—Variable and strong breezes, but freshening with strong winds to gale, prevailing after 24 hours. Indications for a temporary improvement, but weather getting worse again. The night will probably be very cold with frost inland. Barometer unsteady, but falling after 24 hours.
