IRISH LAND PURCHASE BILL
: nr Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [ United Press Association, j London, July 22. Mr A. Birrell. Chief Secretary for Ireland, introduced the Irish Land Purchase Bill. He said that the total expenditure at present was over a hundred millions, and it was estimated that a further sixty millions would he required, provided for by half cash and half stock. He hoped the purchase would bo completed in ten or fifteen years. An additional million would be needed for laborers’ cottages.
