NOTE.—Mr Hopkins has been milking for 8 years, and the cows are recognised as being one of the best herds in the district. They are mostly young and well into the Jersey and Holstein. TO FARMERS.—The Mangatoki herd has been personally inspected by our representative who reports that they are a superior lot and can bo thoroughly recommended. The cows are all in calf to well-bred Jersey bulls an dare due to calve early. In 1911-T2 65 of the cows produced 16,741.381b5. of butter fat, which returned £B2l 18s lOd, or an average of over £l2 12s lOd per cow. Last season 1912-13, the herd of 69 cows yielded 18,892.10 16s. of butter fat, which returned £9M 12s, or an average of over £l3 13s 9d per head. Messrs Chamberlain and Holdener’s lease has expired, and everything is for absolute sale.
