CHICKENPOX OUTBREAK.
NOT GOOD NEWS
[Per Press Association.] Auckland, July 11
Six additional chickenpox cases are reported to-day, two of tnem being rather more severe than usual. There are now fourteen natives in the isolation hospital. Two whites who were brought under the notice of the Health authorities are pronounced to be suffering from chickenpox. This morning another doubtful case, that of a European, was reported from Avondale. The Health Officer states that all the reports are fairly reassuring, except the outbreak reported at Nzawha Hot Springs,, two miles from Ahaeawai, whore there are about thirty cases.
DEATH THROUGH BURNS. Auckland, July 11
May Ohughen, 14, who was badly burned through her clothing catching fire on June 17, has died in the hospital.
