At the Home Bush fat sheep sales, five Corriedale wethers., on account of C. H. Ensor, of White Rock, Canterbury, brought £5 8s each, and five £6 ss, a record for stud sheep at the sales.
A ram, winner of the championship in the unhoused class at the recent show, fetched 350 gns. Others realised up to 60 gns., and batches averaged 4 gns. to £l7 ss. Stup ewes brought up to 3.1 gns., and batches averaged £3 19s 6d to £8 10s.
Merinos: Six rams from Uardry averaged 288 gns., the top being 560 gnu., another 410 gns. Mr Eutherford, of New Zealand, paid 320 for a Uardry stud ram. Other merinos brought from 6 gns. to 50 gns.
