Mr Bonar Law's amendment to the Home Rule Bill was rejected by 352 to 242. The Bill was read a third time without division. There were Ministerial cheers, and counter cheers. THE POET LAUREATE. In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith, in reply to a question,.stated that he intended to appoint a PoetLaureate.
