YOUNG WOMAN'S HEATH

An inquest was held to-day con cerning the death of a young woraas at the hospital on May 26th. Evidence was given that deceased was a singh woman and had represented herself a: married. She'died of septic peritonitis according to the medical testimony following on a miscarriage, and a ver diet was returned to .that effect.
FOUND DEAD
Hargaville, July 4
Afred Lewis Jones, single, 6. years of age, was this morning founc dead in his hut at Aranga. Dr. Nor man, who had attended deceased granted a certificate that death wa: due to pneumonia, and no inquest i therefore necessary.
AN ACCOUNTANT'S SUICIDE
Dunedin, July 4
The body found near Balclutha yes fcerday is believed to be that or Win Bailey, who has resided in Dunedii for twenty years or more. He wa; an accountant, and was unmarried, and had no relations in New Zealand He was of a reticent nature, but hi informed a friend a few days ago tha lie was still out of employment, am would have to find work very soon The sum of 6s 3|d was found on tip body.
A FATAL FALL

William Simpson, who was admitte< to the Auckland Hospital on- dun--30, suffering from injuries receive* as a result of a fall down a staircase at the Shamrock Hotel, died at tin liospital this morning.
A SHOOTING ACCIDENT,
Auckland, Julv -1
A sensational shooting accident occurred this morning at Heme Bay when a boy named Lawrence Ivil war shot by a playmate named Alberi Bagnall. Two boys both about 13 years of age, went down to Hern' Bay beach together, taking with their a small revolver, and one cartridge On the beach it was intended to fire a shot, and the boy Bagnall was handling the revolver ready to fire, when young Ivil apparently got in the line of fire. The revolver used was on< of a very small bore, but the bullet was fired at a close range, and entered a vital part of the abdomen. Tin bovs condition is critical.
