THE INDRABARAH
NEW FACTS LEAKIXCI OUT. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, July 3. News concerning the stranded steamer Indrabajah, which has not been published in New Zealand, has come to hand by a-recent mail from London, On eyery occasion on which they have been approached, oiticials who should have known have stated that the Indrabarah has suffered no damage. According to The Shipping Gazette and Lloyd’s List, published in London on May 23, the Indrabarah has suffered. The Salvage Association, Wellington, sent the following cablegram to Lloyd’s dated May 19 ■ “Your Auckland surveyors report forward boilers working on seating. Is making no water in engine-room bulkhead. Stokehold bulkhead buckled slightly.” On May 20, at 11.14 a.m., the owners of the Indrabarah (at Liverpool) received the following cablegram from the captain of the Indrabarah “Position is more favorable; substantially no further damage found than already reported.” From the above, it appears that the Indrabarah has suffered, although the damage does not appear to be of a serious nature. NOTHING DOING. Marten, July 4. No attempt was made last night to refloat the Indrabarah.
