T. I. LAMASON’S REPORT.

Last Saturday I .held 'my usual weekly sale with a very good attendance of buyers,'' and had a very good entry of various lines. I quote as follows:—Hens! Is 3d to 2s Id, roosters Is 6d to 2s, ducks Is 6d to 2s sd, geese 3s to 3s 6d, cauliflowers 3s Gd per dozen, cabbage 2s to 3s per dozen, potatoes 7s to 12s per sack, pumpkins 5s per bag, carrots 3s to 3s 6d per bag, furniture, etc., at usual auction rates. N.Z. LOAN COMPANY'S REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Stratford Branch, report as follows: On Tuesday, Ist inst., we held our usual fortnightly sale in our Stratford yards. There was only a small yarding and bidding, on young cattle, was not so keen as at previous sales, but on fat ewes yarded, and bidding was very brisk, also on store cows. AVe quote prices as follows; —Store cows 57s to 75s 6d, forward cows 80s to 108 s 6d for good framed cows, 2 year empty heifers 75s to 87s 6d, 2 year Shorthorn heifers in calf 95s to 105 s, heifers in milk 100 s, woancr heifers of nice quality, Shorthorn cross, 35s to 45s Gd, wcaner heifers showing Jersey-

Holstein cross 40s to 555, weaner steers, small and in low condition, 25s to 37s 6d for Shorthorn cattle, strong, 2 and 4-tooth and few f.f.m. ewes in lamb 14s 6d, fat ewes 17s, forward wethers 20s, culls 13s, lambs 9s to 11s, rams for works 10s. During the last week we have turned over a good number of cattle and sheep at prices about on a par with previous quotations. Present prices are as follows:—Lambs 10s 6d to 11s, 2-tooth ewes 14s 6d to 15s, 2,4, 6 tooth and f.m. ewes 17fi, culls 10s, f.f.m. owes 13s, rams Bs, 2 year heifers in calf 127 s Gd to 142 s Gd, draught horses £2B, 20 months steers 60s to 655, weaner heifers showing Jersey cross with little Holstein 57s Gd to G7s Gd.
